Round Slings

Round slings are manufactured with a central core yarn which is covered with a outer cover to protect the inner yarn from damage, which allows spreading of the inner core when under load. Round slings have a certain advantage over flat woven slings in that for the same SWL they are half the weight.

The problem with these is that the outer cover is not load bearing and only protects the inner core. Round slings have an even load distribution.
